Je Vis Couture was found in 2010 in Vancouver, BC by local designer, Bonnie Chung. Born and raised in Vancouver, BC, Bonnie was the top graduate of John Casablanca’s Fashion Business and Creative Arts Diploma Program in 2006. Her fashion journey with Je Vis Couture started with her unconditional love and passion for fashion, specifically dresses, and she designed multiple collections of evening and cocktail dresses as can be seen on www.jeviscouture.com. After spending a couple years living in Los Angeles for inspiration, Bonnie returned to Vancouver with fresh ideas for her clothing line. Bonnie decided to offer custom evening dresses to her clients who wanted a one-of-a-kind dress for their special events. As her journey in the fashion industry continued, she realized that she wanted to offer more than an evening gown to her clients; she wanted to offer them their once-in-a-lifetime dress, their wedding gown. Bonnie loves working with unique fabrics and would travel to fashion forward cities, such as LA, New York and Shanghai just to find the perfect textiles for her clients. Now, situated in Toronto, Bonnie officially launched the bridal collection for Je Vis Couture, Je Vis Bridal (www.jevisbridal.com) in 2014. In 2016, Je Vis Bridal launched their first bridesmaid collection, which instantly became popular with her clientele! At Je Vis Bridal, Bonnie also works with her clients to create custom wedding gowns and bridesmaid dresses.
In October of 2016, Je Vis Bridal opened its first store front in Toronto, Ontario.
“Je Vis” translates to “I Live” in French. Je Vis Couture wants you to feel alive in their dresses and to “Live as though Heaven is on Earth” –Souza
How the wedding dresses work:
All of the wedding dresses are one-of-a-kind, so please check your sizes carefully. Dresses with a zipper back will only fit the stated size(s). Dresses with a tie back can fit up to 2 sizes.
