A New Season. A Stronger Industry. A Seat at the Table.
I hope you had a wonderful summer one filled with beautiful moments, meaningful connections, a little travel, and time with the people who matter most.
As we move into autumn, I find myself reflecting on just how extraordinary our industry truly is.
This year has taken me into rooms, destinations, and conversations with talented wedding professionals, hoteliers, tourism leaders, designers, chefs, beauty experts, entrepreneurs, and international partners. Wherever my work takes me, I am continually reminded that luxury is not simply about what something costs. It is about excellence, service, creativity, culture, craftsmanship, and the people who make an experience unforgettable.
As a wedding planner, travel advisor, publisher, and industry advocate, I have seen firsthand the tremendous work being done across weddings, hospitality, travel, events, fashion, beauty, and lifestyle. I am proud of our colleagues in Canada and equally grateful for the international partners who have welcomed me, shared their expertise, and allowed The Wedding Planner & Lifestyle Magazine to bring their destinations, properties, and stories to our readers.
It’s Time to Talk About Our Economic Contribution
There is, however, a conversation I believe Canada needs to have.
Our wedding, events, hospitality, travel, and luxury lifestyle sectors contribute significantly to the economy. A single celebration can engage hotels, restaurants, venues, planners, designers, florists, photographers, transportation companies, beauty professionals, fashion houses, travel advisors, entertainers, caterers, and countless small and medium-sized businesses.
Yet the collective economic importance of our industry is rarely part of the larger Canadian business conversation.
We want to help change that.
On Monday, November 16, 2026, The Wedding Planner & Lifestyle Magazine and Veronica Events Inc., together with our Official Venue & Hospitality Partner, Sheraton Parkway Toronto North Hotel & Suites, will present the Luxury Industry Leadership Luncheon & Investment Forum The Economic Power of Multicultural Luxury Celebrations.
This first-of-its-kind gathering is deeply important to me.
It is an opportunity to bring industry leaders, government, business, hospitality, travel, media, entrepreneurs, and luxury brands into the same room for an open conversation about economic recognition, representation, investment and funding, business growth, meaningful connections, and greater support for the sectors that help Canada celebrate, travel, gather, and experience life beautifully.
And importantly, we will discuss the economic power of Canada’s African, Black, Caribbean, and broader multicultural communities consumers and entrepreneurs who are helping shape the future of Canadian luxury.
An Invitation from Me to You
To my industry colleagues, international partners, luxury acquaintances, friends of the magazine, and those who have supported my work over the years: I would love to have you in the room.
Come not simply to attend another event, but to contribute to a conversation that I hope will become much larger than one afternoon.
Let us celebrate the extraordinary work already being done while asking an equally important question:
What could our industry become with greater recognition, stronger investment, and a meaningful seat at the economic table?
As Editor-in-Chief, I remain enormously grateful to the professionals who allow us to tell their stories. You are the reason our pages can celebrate weddings alongside travel, hospitality, culture, beauty, fashion, business, and lifestyle.
There is much ahead for The Wedding Planner & Lifestyle Magazine this autumn and I cannot wait to share it with you.
Here’s to a beautiful new season, to our industry, and to continuing the conversation together.
With gratitude,
