Sweet Avenue Cakery was founded by Maria Weglinski, circa 2011, following a career in Landscape Architecture and Design, although her foray into baking, cake making and decorating started at a very young age.
Maria creates beautifully handcrafted cakes and confections, adorned with an array of realistic, edible sugar decorations. Taking inspiration from your unique florals, interests, decor and style she creates edible piece of art that will be the centerpiece of your reception.
The artist believes that to achieve an ultimate sweet masterpiece one must start with a perfect canvas. All the goods are handmade, in a truly artisan scratch baked fashion, from recipes passed along the family through generations. Only the finest quality ingredients, often outsourced locally, are used in preparation of the confections. Sweet Avenue Cakery uses unsalted butter, whole eggs, real sugar for that special touch of sweetness and locally harvested fruit only.
