Steve and I dated for nine years. He planned a short getaway trip to Niagara Falls for my birthday, and on that trip, he proposed to me, and I said, “Yes!”. Our original plan was to have a wedding in the fall of 2020, with his family flying from Hong Kong. However, because of COVID-19, our original plan needed to be changed, and his family no longer can come anymore.
We decided to keep our original date in September. We arranged to have a small intimate ceremony & reception at Ricarda’s, a chic restaurant in the heart of downtown Toronto. We had a few close family and friends join us for the celebration, followed by food & drinks.
Even though the wedding was smaller than we anticipated, it was still full of love. We enjoyed being able to celebrate with our guests, thank them for coming and take pictures. The staff was also most accommodating & helpful with preparations.
